As Floridians, we know too well the devastating impact hurricanes can have on people and communities.

People are hurting and need help.

Many people have opened their hearts and wallets to provide assistance to the residents of the areas hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. If you would like to help, please see the Texas-based organizations listed below who can use assistance. We’ve included a link to each group with a “commitment to transparency” rating on Guidestar for anyone who wants to learn more about the listed groups. We’ve also included a link to the Houston Chronicle feature listing other charitable organizations working to help those in need in Southeast Texas.

In addition to the links below, please be aware that the Texas Supreme Court has issued an order allowing out-of-state lawyers to provide legal assistance without a Texas Bar license if the lawyers comply with the order. The State Bar of Texas has provided information to connect attorneys to those in need.
